For the second time in 2 weeks, my computer monitor has turned off suddenly and not been able to power back on. After the first time, I purchased a new power supply which solved the problem - but it just turned off on me again (approximately 2 weeks later). I'm sure that it is once again the power supply - what could be causing this? Is it a monitor problem, an electrical problem, or something in the CPU?

Hi Jana,
If your PSU functions really hot, there's a big possibility it can't capture the load. This is regularly the reason with low-priced supplies, as they aren't projected for hard use. Depending on the apparatus of your system, you could require fully a heavy PSU.
For most new CPU's, a PSU of as a minimum 350W is recommended. If you be capable of get one with a higher capacity, don't draw back, but buy!
It's pretty likely that some newly created systems that are about to be released, will have a CPU utilizing over 100W (Intel Prescott). Those organons will need fully a heavy PSU to remain firm.
